Good Day Chamber Members:
It has been an exciting few months in Silt. Here at the Chamber we have scheduled quite a few activities and sponsorships. We had two presentations by Chief Burris on identity theft. The information was fabulous and I wish more of you had attended because the threat is out there. The Chamber was a sponsor for the Titan Trot, a major fundraiser for the Booster Club. We were there to help and hand out water to the thirsty runners and walkers.
We are going to have a coat drive this year and as you hopefully start to put your coats away, that is if the sun starts to shine, please bring your coats to Canyon Cleaners. We are going to store them at Rich Cromwell’s Bekins, and then clean them up for the distribution at a party on October 31, Halloween, at the Holiday Inn Express.
We are also working with the Soil Conservation District to do a valley wide Tamarisk re- moval project. All we need are people that want to see these thirsty guzzlers disappear and we can do a great service to the river.
The website is in the process of a major overhaul that will make it slicker to use. All of the information is up to date as far as we know. Please check out your information and send any corrections or updates.
Thank you to all of the membership and if you have ideas for new projects, please email me at Cheryl@cherylchandler.com.
