Photo contest: Looking for Cover Art for 2008 chamber Directory
OK all you shutter bugs out there. This year the cover for our directory was donated by Belinda Caldwell. The photo of Sammy Caldwell and Thing 11 on the Gill Ranch in Silt had won 1^st place in the People category and overall Champion at the 2006 Garfield County Fair.
Your photo may not have won an award, but you could still have the photo to represent our town and businesses.

Start Your Holiday Season Out Right
The Silt Area Chamber invites you to join us December 2, 2007
at 5 p.m. to a grand banquet at Columbine Restaurant.
Come and experience the spectacular views from the Columbine Restaurant located on the beautiful Rifle Creek Golf course, just 3 miles north of Rifle, nested in the narrow Rifle Creek Valley at the foot of the Grand Hogback Range. It is here that you will be taken in culinary bliss while experiencing an enjoyable evening with fellow members and friends.
Our evening begins with appetizers provided by your chamber. Meatballs with Pepper sauce, breaded mushrooms, vegetable tray, cheese tray and a fruit tray while we network and enjoy the cash bar. Then we continue with a buffet of favorite dishes: Prime Rib Au Jus with Horseradish cr￨me, Breaded Shrimp and cocktail sauce, Chicken Piccata with Pilaf Rice. To round out this feast is oven roasted rosemary potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls and butter and dessert. Hot tea and coffee are included.
Cost is $35.00 per person. (Chamber picks up cost of appetizers and tax and tip)

Awards of Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and the Citizen of the year will be presented.

November 2, Friday we have a Business After Hours at Star Precast Concrete from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Teri and Lee Kirk are pleased to host this event at their location at 369 Mosher Ave. Parachute Co 81635 Phone number is 970-989-5176 You may know them for the beautiful retaining walls they make, but they also provide bird baths and other lawn art, even useful benches to grace your business or home.

November 19^th Monday we have a BAH from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Silt Discount Liquor.
