"Ferguson Crossing Remembered" is the theme for the 42nd annual Silt Heyday which will be held on Saturday, July 30th at the Veteran's Memorial Park. We will be celebrating our history over the next 4 years working up to our centennial in 2015. Our Grand Marshalls will be Eugene & Joe Diaz and their families. Both of these families have played a part of our history.

Bill Barrett Corporation Named 2010 Business of the Year
The Silt Area Chamber of Commerce has named Bill Barrett Corporation the Business of the Year.
Bill Barrett has invested over a billion dollars in our area since arriving six years ago and has over two dozen employees, many who live in our community.
However, the investment of this business into this community is not the only reason why we are giving them this honor.
Almost immediately upon their arrival, Bill Barrett has proven a willing partner with Silt by assisting on many levels. They have remained committed to the long-term health and future of Silt. Bill Barrett was proudly the largest donor towards the town's purchase of 132 acres of open space and wildlife habitat.
Throughout the years, they have also helped other projects such as:
- Giving Thanks for our Seniors
- Schneegas Wildlife Rehabilitation
- Silt Police Department
- Garfield County Library
- Proms and Marching Bands
- Reading Programs
We hope you will join us as we thank Bill Barrett Corporation for all they've done for Silt and congratulate them for being Business of the Year.
